Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Second life potion

This potion would use a totem of undying in its brewing recipe. for the duration of this potion, you have the effects of the totem of undying. can be made to last longer or turned into a splash potion. Effect ends on expiration of effect or on first death. Optionally, second life ll could absorb 2 deaths. Optionally, maybe mobs saved from death drop their goods anyways, allowing for 2 kills worth of drops from the wither, maybe even it could be an in-game way to get 2 dragon eggs.

    the potion would give you the option to use the item before heading into combat, and allows you to hold a different item during combat, such as a splash potion or a shield. This is balanced by the risk of it going unused as it will eventually time out. It also has room for strategic or technical applications, such as using it's splash version on other entities.

    As they stated quite simply, there is the Totem of Undying for this very purpose.
