Copper oxidation change

In the end copper doesn’t oxidize, in the nether specifically the basalt deltas, it oxidizes twice as fast

    Why is there a Waxed Weathered Copper Block? It's the last stage, it doesn't need to be waxed, unless there is a slight texture change

    Why should it not oxidise in the end? Making it oxidise faster on the nether would devalue organic oxidised copper
