The lodestone could emit a redstone signal whose strength is determined by how far away the lodestone compass is

With the recent ender pearl chunk-loading capabilities, it could be a simple redstone signal emitted from the lodestone. As said before, it’s a small tweak to the game but opens up a world of new technical possibilities.

For an in-game explanation, the player could rapidly spin the needle with a right-click, prompting the lodestone to respond. If the lodestone's chunk isn't loaded, the needle simply won’t spin, and a fail sound could play, to prevent confusion about the lack of reaction.

As a hard-to-craft, late-game block that’s currently underused, this addition wouldn’t disrupt progression. Instead, it would finally make the lodestone a valuable and helpful tool. Please, Mojang - this would be so cool!
