Bonded Gravel

If you craft 8 gravel with one slime ball, you would get 8 pieces of bonded gravel. This gravel looks the same as regular gravel, except you can build with it without it falling. It will only fall if you place a different block on it, or break one of them, similar to gravel patches.

  when I read bounded gravel
  I thought gravel that could stick to other gravel blocks like scaffolding so you could make a trap just by pushing one gravel block or updating the only one that's holding them all up.
  or it's somehow stuck together as if it's one block so it falls as a single large entity
