If the Warden is killed, a so amount of souls should do one of two things, 1: They fly away up to the build limit then despawn,
2: They try to kill you for 8 sec then fly up to the build limit, with an attack strength of 5 each (when the player has no armor on) so if the player is low on health (they should be) then they have a chance to did from the souls lost in the Warden.
The chance of them attacking could be a 2 in 3 chance but you can choose (if you like this idea)
