    Absolutely agree. 16 makes them frustrating to use. The issue is them becoming over powered. In PVP if you could have 64 ender pearls, you could spam them to get super far away from battles quickly. So to balance this I had some ideas:
    1. Ender pearls should have a “wind up” like how using the bow, you charge the shot. It can be a very short wind up time similar to the bow charge time, but this way it will slow down and also give a versatile throw range. If you just tap the throw button you will only throw the pearl a short distance. If you hold and then release the throw button you will throw it farther.
    2. Status effect, Teleportation Poisoning: The major way to prevent spamming ender pearls is a very short timed status effect. This status effect would simply “increase the damage of teleportation damage”. By default right now ender pearls do 2.5 hearts damage to the player. This status effect would increase this damage while the status effect is in play. It would only last a couple seconds each time you throw it. Maybe if you still throw it anyways, the status effect would increase to level two, then level three, making the teleportation damage even higher at each level. This is a simple method of preventing the abuse of it in pvp. This way it doesn’t force you to not use it, but it puts you at risk and can prevent the abuse of it. It also then still allows it to be useful for building and simple adventuring.
