Sideways angled iron bars

I think we should be able to have sideways iron bars, kind of like how end rods can be placed both upright and sideways. Sideways iron bars could be useful in builds such as steam locomotives, being used as a piping system, or a weight lifting set in a house. End rods release an unpleasant glow, mainly when that part of the build shouldn't glow. Sideways iron bars could also be used in thinks like powerlines, or small scale monorails.
