Wizards in Strongholds

They should be the ones that built the strongholds and locked zombies in the cells. When you defeat them you can get a rare wizard’s staff. They would be peaceful unless you hit them, and guard the end portals.

  Wizards or liches, undead wizards.  Since the strongholds seem abandoned, having a lich might make more sense.  The only difference between a lich and a wizard is the appearance and being undead, so getting the reverse effect from healing and harming potions.
