Heavy snow on tall mountains

I think it would be cool if once you reach a certain hight, say 200 or maybe more, the snow would become heavy snow. When heavy snow was coming down on the player, he or she would start to freeze. About every five minutes, a new layer of powder snow would generate. I think this would be a great feature and make some mountains a lot more challenging and fun.
