What my issue is
I am somebody who likes to build in survival. A lot of the constraints that come with this, such as having to collect the materials yourself, being aware of actual living space like chests furnaces enchanting rooms, I actually like.
However, there is one constraint I actually find very annoying and hard to deal with. And that is building moody places. I love building with light in minecraft and using darker pallets.
How I would fix it
The issue of course here is, mob spawning. Which in survival can't be turned off. I think a late game item that disables mob spawning in an area would be a good addition. This item would be late game, hard to craft and should ONLY be able to be used for builds. It could disable mobs in a chunck.
Why I think it would work
- The item would be lategame. in both resources and material. It could use end materials like chorus and netherite. To make sure this item can only be crafted once the player is already sufficiently strong that regular mobs wouldn't be an issue
- Rare mobs could be unaffected. The goal would be to allow certain builds to be able to be build in survival. Certain mobs like the upcoming warden or boss monster can easily ignore this and the goal would be uneffected.
- A lot of the time, mob spawning is good. Farming mobs, is usually a good way of getting resources. Mob limits could be per chunck, so disabling mobs in all chuncks except one wouldn't make that one chucnk super mob dense. Making exploiting this item very hard.
