Stalactite -Dripstone Behavior

First, stalactites and stalagmites should slowly grow when on or hanging from dripstone. Stalagmite growth should be dependent on having a stalactite above. When on or hanging from other blocks stalactites and stalagmites should be dead, (unable to grow.) Stalactite growth will make the new caves feel more natural, will make them renewable.

Second, naturally generated stalactites that are not connected to dripstone should be unstable, occasionally falling. Stalactites that are connected to dripstone should be stable. Stalagmites and stalactites placed by the player should be stable regardless of the block they are placed on. If stalactite stability is dependent on the block they are generated, this will give the caves a feeling of danger. Players will be cautious to avoid having stalactites fall on them.

In conclusion, natural stalactite growth and breakage will make caves feel alive and changing, as well as add a sense of danger.
