Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Paint

       I think that paint would be a great addition to Minecraft. When paint is applied to a block the block would change it's color of the block to the paint color that is in your inventory. For example if you had a block of cobblestone and red dye in your hand the cobblestone would become red but the rocks (and whatever is in cobblestone) would still stick out and still be seen. Paint would be made at a crafting table by adding a dye of your choice plus a bucket of water. This would work on any block (not including slabs, staircases, pressure plates, torches, and other none square objects). I hope that you like this post.

    This would be amazing for building houses. I was going to suggest it myself but I'll support yours instead!

    It would be nice to be able to paint the inside of a wall of a house and not have it be the same on the outside.  Or paint the outside if you have the color of the inside.  Certain blocks could be painted like wood, concrete or stone, but not dirt, sand, concrete powder, etc. 

    Painting blocks would also eliminate the need for vertical/standing/upright slabs as others have requested.  This would solve that desire on some level and appease those who put a lot of detail into their buildings.

    Paint buckets can also lead to creating paintings to hang on the wall.

    yes this is exactly what i was thinking! it would be cool as well just to be able to paint one side of the block, instead of it all.

    I was just looking into what paint is made from and tempera was originally egg whites and pigment, so they wouldn't even need to add any new ingredients to add this feature.
