Craftable Copper

For the new update, maybe make it so you can craft copper? For example 1 iron ingot + 1 gold ingot would make 1 copper ingot? I think this would be a good idea because then you could easily get all the copper you need by just making an iron and gold farm. It's also not too over powered because copper only really has 2 uses: lightning rods and telescopes (as of right now). And lots of people want to make roofs and builds out of copper, so why not make it a little easier to get it? :)

  No. This doesn't make sense in any way. First off, in the real world you don't get copper by mixing iron with gold, and I know Mojang cares at least a little about realism.

  Secondly, this would make the pure reason copper ore was added obsolete. Copper ore was added so that mid to endgame players have a reason to come back to caves. Making copper craftable with iron and gold would undermine this. These players already have iron and gold, so they don't have to go mining again.

  And finally, but certainly not least, it's already easy to get. Currently, copper ore has the same rarity as iron ore. 

  You want to make copper roofs? Go mining. It's an ore.
