Logical Wood Stair Recipes

Mojang, please update the wood stair recipes. The current 6:4 ratio between wood and wood stairs is a waste of resources and makes no mathematical sense at all. So please consider changing the recipe to being a 3:4 block to stair ratio. However, I completely agree with the other kinds of stair blocks, since your supposed to use a stonecutter to carve the stairs out.
