Rewards needed for the Dripstone Caves.

I'm extremely excited for the Dripstone Caves. I mean, they look amazing. One problem I have, however, is that it's such a dangerous biome, but has no reward for making your way through it.

For example, at Minecraft Live, we saw a zombie fall 3 blocks onto a stalagmite and die, and we've seen more footage since the event.

For such a dangerous biome, shouldn't there be some kind of reward? Maybe a new ore or something, I don't know.
