Worms In the soil

Wouldn't it be cool if you could get worms and place them in your crops to help them grow faster? I mean let's say you could have it so that while it's raining some worms come out and you could catch them in a bucket. (Similar to the way you can catch fish in a bucket.) And then you could place them down near crops and they would bury themselves in the soil and then next time it rains they would come out again.

    I think worms actually damage vegetables instead of promote growth
