Remove all stone tools; replace with a new copper tier.

The wooden tier of tools are mostly forgotten. You craft a wooden pickaxe to mine three stone and then you throw it away or use it as furnace fuel, then you never touch another wooden tool ever again. To force a bit of a gap in-between the lowest tier and second lowest tier, we should remove stone tools and weapons entirely, and instead have a copper tier.

    I can already tell this would be divisive, but I like this idea.

    Stone already has so much uses, and copper by comparison barely has any. (and like you said indirectly giving wood tools more use)

    But having a copper teir would make you mine a bit for copper just to get iron which will make players automatically forget about it. Copper is currently is found near iron or around that level which i feel is intetional since they could have made it generate anywhere in the snapshot (not to mention its gonna be found in vains). Also having to use wood for so long is kinda frustrating and diamond is also not too hard to get if you know where to look. So technically you could make the same argument for replacing diamond teir wich isnt realistic either.

    Do not remove stone. Getting stone is integral to the game. When you mine you need a cheap pickaxe for the stone. What is that cheap but reliable pickaxe? the stone pickaxe!!!!!!!!! So do not remove it Please. The stone pickaxe is needed for mining.

    No.  The stone tier is a very deeply rooted aspect of Minecraft,  Plus, it's important because it is decent quality tools from a 100% renewable source (cobblestone).   It would also make the game more unrealistic, as stone tools were very widespread in early human history.  This change might sound interesting, but in the end, it would just be far too controversial for literally no benefit.

     

    Copper tools in general are a bad idea.  They would just add another tier to progress through in early game Minecraft that would soon be forgotten after the player progresses to diamond tools.

    You can't remove stone tools. If you remove it you have to go into a cave and then look until you find one it would be extremely annoying. Also you have to smelt the copper and its just going to be harder. I used stone tools until I had 64 iron ingot and stone tools are extremely easy to craft. I don't know about you guys but I mostly use stone tools for construction and buildings.

    When they say people forget about wooden tools that’s completely not true let’s say your late game and your making a path u would use a wooden shovel, I use wooden tools all the time like if I strip wood or something. At this point in minecraft stone tools are a staple of the entire game and removing them would make minecraft the new fortnite aka garbage
