Transfering data

I belive that players should be able to buy and dowload one vertion of minecraft, and be able to dowload the next one for free. it makes it harder for some people who wanted java but didnt have a computer, now they have one and cant beacause it is expensive. i feel we should be able to tranfer account data at least (not the worlds like hardcore and such).
