Cats should have 9 lives,

When you kill a cat, they can have a totem of undying effect 9 times before they are actually slain. This feature prevents you accidentally killing your beloved pet.

    Perhaps there should be a kind of cat that will give the player Totem of Undying when falling asleep with it, which has a very small chance.

    I would have a Respawn Anchor for pets. A new block may be unnecessary, as you could just use the current Respawn Anchor (provided it can be usable in the Overworld, which it should, as it is basically a more expensive bed). I'm not sure how pets (or any mob) could be attached to it, but whenever they are killed they would just appear there until it runs out of glowstone.
