Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Tinted Glass Panes?

As we all know, Tinted Glass Blocks are assumed to be coming into minecraft version 1.17. While tinted Glass Blocks are cool, it would be even cooler if we could make Tinted Glass Panes. It is possible this is already panned, but I only want to point out this concept.

    I immediately tried this when I launched it. We definitely need tinted glass panes to match the other glass panes. Hopefully this isn't being excluded due to some technical difficulty with lighting.

    This may be difficult to create due to there essentially being 2 sides of the pane. One side would have to be darkened while the other can still have light if this were to be added correctly.

    cranzag I'm not really sure but, that might be not that difficult. Light in vanilla minecraft is actually a block, so devs only need to make half block versions of it and adjust those a little bit with the new mechanic to make it work. Unless I'm wrong

    It'll certainly be nice to have indented windows in my builds and still not allow light through.

    I was always thinking that was what we were going to get and then with 1.17 I have to admit that I was quite disappointed to see it only being blocks...

    Honestly, I was expecting tinted glass to be on the level of stained glass, with colours, panes and all. I was really looking forward to finally being able to build some better looking church windows...

    Would be great if that were to come after all...

    As an alternative for church windows a pane that lets light through but doesn't let you view the other side might be even better but one got to stick what might be realistic...

    I love the new tinted glass blocks! But, I agree, it needs the pane version of it.
