This mainly applies to the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.
The hunger bar system, at least in the Bedrock Edition, drains extremely quickly. The hunger mechanics in the Java and Legacy editions (X360, PS3, Wii U, etc), took much longer for your bar to drain, even when jumping + running.
I think the time before your hunger goes down after eating needs to be much longer because having to eat constantly when exploring stalls gameplay, especially if your hunger has reached the point to where you can’t sprint. It’s incredibly frustrating to stop every 6-8 seconds to eat so I can replenish my hunger.
