Chickens Should Be Able to Lay Eggs

It's kind of weird how chickens in Minecraft can give birth to a chick without any shell. I think it's a good idea to make the chicken eggs function like the turtle eggs, which can be placeable on blocks, so that chickens can sit on them which allows them to hatch. However, if the player harvests the egg, it can no longer hatch, and it will only be used as a regular egg (used as an ingredient for foods like cake). Just a thought that it would be an upgrade compared to throwing eggs lol. Plus, I want to suggest to change the chicks appearance, because it doesn't looks like a chick, it looks more of a tiny chicken (Because it already has a comb and a wattle, which can only be seen in adult chickens lol).
