This could be used to differentiate between my main and silk touch pick on the fly

As for the types of glowing - that should change the look of the text

    sparking - italic

    pulsating - bold

sheen - classic, independent if the item was renamed

A recource pack using optifine features before 1.15 could be used to add custom different enchantment glints to each item and even each name but yea

They should be combined in a smithing table, to give it more uses. Good idea!

Maybe the Archeology should drop an Enchantment Shard, which combined with 2 Amethyst and 2 of the same colored dye will create the enchantment glint color shard you need.

Another thing Enchantment Shards could do is when combined with an Enchantment Book in an anvil, all enchantments on the shard will override the enchantments on your tool when you combine it.

For Example, you could enchant the shard with Protection II, and then put that on your helmet that has Fire Protection III. It would take off the fire protection since it is mutually exclusive to protection and add the Protection II enchantment.

The quark mod already does this, it should be a vanilla feature.

I did, in fact, get this idea from Quark.

    I have an idea:

You can enchant an amethyst crystal at an enchantment table to do the enchantment color, but enchanted relics change the type of glint (Pulsating, Wavy, Crackling, Ect)

Yes please, I like the enchantment glints don't get me wrong, but it makes some tools and armors (most notably netherite) look ugly.

The color idea is amazing (Just imagine an orange glowing Fire Aspect sword) But it could be even better. What if there were different patterns as well? Like Glittery, Flames, or Pulse, or even for more diabolical players, a way to remove the enchantment glint? Also, a really rare one could cycle through all of the colors!

you could use them as diamonds on an enchanting table to get the color

It would be super cool to be able to customize the way your gear looks by doing that!

Maybe have ones that change it to be a pattern, like a green creeper glint, a golden Apple glint, maybe even seasonal glints found at times like Christmas or Halloween like a pumpkin or snowflake glint, there are so many possibilities!

Sehr gute Idee, aber ich würde diese Relikte als Runen darstellen.

I feel the enchant glint looks out of place in a game of voxels. Its HD and has curved lines instead of pixels.

It'd look more cohesive if the glint was a animated wash of purple pixels doing a similar motion instead of a HD string of curved lines.

Customizing the colors would still be a nice addition even if its only by enchants on the armor like Minecraft Dungeons does it.

Something like this should be added to 1.20, as the ability to customize the enchantment glint color would fit perfectly with 1.20's theme of self representation.

Not only that but also change in What pattern thr glint works. Like in XisumaVoid’s Hermitcraft videos we can see how different enchantment glint works

Consecutive applications of these relics on items that already had at least one applied to them should mix the colors involved, much like with dyes on leather armor.

There should also be a way to reset the glint color without losing the item's enchantments like one would if using a grindstone.

but I would make it so you can duplicate them as armor trims but in different way. Because the trail ruins gives much junk and no one wants to have his world to be GB worth of loaded chunks for red glowing pickaxe

This would be so cool in the base game instead of having to use other packs
