perhaps adding a setting for the finite world, and then adding four fields in which you put the max and minimum x and z coordinates, up to + or - 30000000, or a 30000000 difference between the two x's and z's. a setting to control the world height would be fun, letting bedrock players play really tall y values, while having only a hundred x and z values. and controlling what generates would be awesome as well (the generation height of ores, the height of mountains, etc.).

Is this like on the legacy console edition where you can add more layers on a flat world?

Yes, i liked that about the console editions, and really feel like bedrock messed that up.

bedrock edition has a "classic" world option when creating a new world which creates a finite world

True, but it's a pretty small world, so it's only good for small cities.

    Exactly

Yes, but as Beeglefreek59 mentioned, it’s a very small world and it doesn’t work for flat worlds. It has to be either an old world or a flat world.
