Easy mode too hard on mobile version

I have played easy mode on ps3 version and it is nothing like easy mode on mobile version. There are way too many mobs spawning.  It isn't easy at all! I don't want to play peaceful mode because what's the point, but if it's going to be this hard on easy I can't even play at all! Please adjust so I can enjoy Minecraft like I used to. :(
