A Crevasse is an icy ravine generated high in the mountains that the player can fall into. Unlike a normal ravine, the crevasse has walls of packed ice and piles of snow/ice at the bottom. Icicles (similar to stalactites) hang from ledges inside the crevasse.
Some crevasses are covered at the surface by a thin layer of powder snow so that the player doesn't notice it at first but will fall into the crevasse if they sink through the powder snow layer.
There could also be unique mobs hidden at the bottom of crevasses, or a rare structure.
