Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Stalagtites and Stalagmites generation

- Introduction

So stalagtites and stalagmites are coming to the game on the 1.17 caves and cliffs update but as of now we have no information on how could we farm them or how could them be generated. I don't like the idea of not being able to farm them and needing to go to a dripstone cave and destrying the enviroment.

- Generation idea

My idea for stalagtite generation is when water drips from a dripstone it slowly forms a stalagtite and it will continue to grow up to some point, but also the fact that water drips from the tip of stalagtites can be used to generate stalagmites. Their generation will be very slow like in real life and would also require the dripstone only found in dripstone caves so to farm it you would need to visit a dripstone biome first.

    Maybe stalactites/stalagmites only grow in height if they are touching that full Dripstone block. That way, we can use them in our builds if we want static heights, but also have ways to regrow them.
