This isnt the typical nourishment system idea, but moreso a more simple an elegant solution to solving the conundrum of adding more food to minecraft. I propose a diminishing returns system. The more you eat one type of food, the less it fills your hunger bar. By the time you're halfway done with a stack of steak for example, its only giving you as much hunger and saturation as a melon slice. This insentivizes collecting more types of food and more farms, which is better for the game in the long term. This idea would absolutely upset a large part of the community, but I believe it to be a good choice overall, since more and more food can be added with an insentive to find it.
