Recently in Minecraft the new biomes have become more and more advanced and with more features, making them look out of place compared to older biomes. In order to fix this problem I have thought of a solution.
Each biome including biomes form different dimensions should have at least 3 or more of the following: (In any combination) A unique mob that can only spawn inside of that biomes borders, A unique block that can only be found inside of that biomes border, A unique material that can only be collected inside that biomes border, A unique plant that can only spawn inside that biomes border, A unique biome that can only spawn with in that biomes border, A unique structure that is only in that biomes border and a feature that is unique to that biome border (Example: Nether can not have any water based substances)
Example for a biome: The plains biome has a new unique animal that can only spawn in its border, the Prairie Dog. Inside of of the Prairie Dog's holes you can find a new unique block, crumbling dirt. The Prairie Dog has a slight chance to drop a new material, Malus Ioensis seeds which if planted will grow into large trees that owls and other birds will land on to drop rewards during the night. Inside of the Prairie Dog holes is a structure of tunnels with remnants of someone that might have been here before us. Lastly, a feature could be finding scattered basalt that will lead to a eroded volcano where smoke poison's the air.(Volcanos created 4/5s of modern plains)
