1.7 PvP

Mojang, I think it would be a good idea to add a gamerule to revert the pvp back to 1.7 including block hitting animations, bow animations, etc. I know so many people do like the 1.9 combat, but those of us in the pvp community would like to be able to play on a newer version with the 1.7 combat. It is just a suggestion, and I don't want to spark any hate about the 1.9 combat. It was a great update, but I feel a gamerule to revert to 1.7 pvp would be great!

    A gamerule's been rejected over and over again. It doesn't fix the fact that combat isn't the same for neither servers, java nor bedrock. That's the main goal of these snapshots; find a system for intended play that works well for everyone.

    Instead of a gamerule, you might have better luck asking to make everything about combat (like shields, regen, weapon attributes) customizable rather than hard-coded. That might fit a lot more Mojang's vision of the game.

    Definitely a good idea, although, it should be more customizable instead of just a gamerule. Yes, the 1.9 update was really good, it's just the PvP that turned a lot of players away.
