Archipelago Biome

Islands in Minecraft tend to just be boring sandbars with occasional oak trees on them. My idea is to make these islands more interesting by making small close together island to form an archipelago. They could be tropical, sort of like a variation on jungles, with palms growing on the beaches and if the island is big enough oak and jungle trees in the center. Maybe even add a new structure like a dilapidated statue with loot inside, with a style similar to the ones found on Easter island. I think it would add to the lore of the game, and give players a reason to explore the oceans more.
