Bring back the Red Dragon!

Remember the Red Dragon that was originally going to live within the caves? Since the Caves&Cliffs update was announced, I have been thinking about this Dragon and how there could be a whole new biome where this dragon lives.

What would the dragon do? Would it be a boss? A regular hostile mob?

How about placing the Dragon Egg in a cave and wait for 3 MINECRAFT days for it to hatch. I say this because Jeb stated that it would hatch from the Dragon Egg if it was ever implemented.
