If you want to propose a change to an existing structure (like villages), or add something brand new in a current dimension or biome, this is the place.

    @Timothy Flamewalker , just because they did that once doesn't make it a precedent, and I for one would love to see this cuz mineshafts aren't the most exciting and this would be a great time thematically and because it would be so cool for more variety with mineshafts. possibly different rooms/ loot depending on the cave biome?

    Well, current mine generation is kind of broken, so just a few tweaks in the way they spawn and generate would be interesting, and quite honestly, I can't see how they wouldn't do that. With new cave gen, not only current mineshaft spawn will break completly, there's probably gonna be major change... Also, there's room for lots of room for new features, and would be shamefull if nothing is changed, as this is the cave (and cliffs) update.

     

     

    Also, the entrance is interesting, the "landmarks" stuff makes me feel like there should be an entrance to mineshafts, which would lead you into a maze of corridors (this would also help with the "first night feel" they want to bring back... That's the entire point of them, to start with, and the broken generation doesn't help...), maybe at the foot of a hill and biome based? But that's too much especulation...
