When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Minecraft REDSTONE UPDATE

So we all love the redstone we have but what if we can make it better than before! Like we are already going to have wireless redstone but what if Minecraft created wires and wrenches and screws and red stones that we can play in the wall, different color redstone, bluestone,greenstone! The Minecraft world of engineering needs to be at its Peak!

    We already had a Redstone Update, 1.5. Although I suppose a "Engineering and Electricity" update could be interesting.

    Yeah things like rails and minecarts could use a revamp since they are basically useless for transportation since there are more efficient ways of getting around

    Redstone features have been added here and there over the years and has expanded the range of redstone, but there are some restrictions to redstone that simply don't have to exist. An example is that redstone decides where it does or doesn't connect; this could easily be fixed by allowing the player to decide. For example, if there is a piston and an adjacent redstone dust to the side of it, the player would be able to click, hold, and drag the dust directly into the piston, which would literally make the circuit eight times smaller than looping the dust around like an airplane makes a 180 degree turn. Another restriction of redstone is that most of its components are not mobile, meaning they cannot be pushed by pistons. Flying machines would be so much easier with mobile redstone, because the player could stop it simply by stepping off a pressure plate. The parameters of redstone could be easily be expanded if these simple changes were made.

    Redstone Update vol. 2 should change redstone to make it like on the bedrock or viceversa.

    It would be cool if pistons could extend more than 1 block. The catch could be that the farther it goes, the less blocks it could push. It would also be cool to adjust their speed.

    I would like if the blue stone and the greenstone would function the same as redstone, bud redstone dust could only power redston pistons and greenstone could power only greenstone pistons
