Smeltable Items

I believe that certain items in Minecraft should be Smeltable. For instance if you trade with villagers and get buckets of fish you use the fish and have lots of buckets left. 

I think that buckets as well as other items should be smelted into iron nuggets because a bucket is only 3 iron ingots.

You can smelt iron and gold swords and other tools which some require 3 of the ingots so why not buckets which is literally 3 iron ingots.

I hope this idea can happen because then we can turn an item that some of us have probably chests of or take up inventory space into something we can use again.
