dragon egg can be used to create a conduit style device

The dragon egg could be used as a conduit core with the conduit shell being made of purpur and endstone it could allow for either creative mode flight in a small area or slow falling or something similar. This would be great because at the moment the dragon egg is just a fun trophy, and this is much more minecrafty and based around pre-existing game mechanics than taming a pet dragon or similar suggestions.

The Dragon Egg really needs a use. Even if its for a banner pattern or an Elytra upgrade.
