Shellshroom - Mushroom Turtle

Shellshrooms are a variation of turtles that are native to the Mushroom Islands. They have brown skin with the red mushroom texture as their shell, with some having mushrooms attached to their shell.

In the same way that Turtles drop Scute which can be crafted into a Turtle Shell Helmet, Shellshrooms would drop Mushroom Tops, which can be crafted into a Mushroom Hat. Turtle Helmets grant the player Respiration, so the Mushroom Hat would have to grant the player a potion effect, such as hunger regeneration or night vision.

The Mushroom Islands are one of the few biomes to not yet receive a place in the biome vote, and as such is one of the more lackluster biomes at the moment. I think this is a step in the right direction to elevate the Mushroom Islands to the current standard of Minecraft.

    Adorable idea! A few things, though

    1. I think they should be tortoises
    2. Don't have them drop mushroom tops! There shouldn't be a reason to kill such a cute fella :(
