Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Telescope Stand

Telescope stand:

  • An item that functions as a holding block for the telescope when placed, allowing you to use the telescope by right-clicking when the telescope is set on it.

  • Using this item with the telescope allows you to adjust the zoom.

  • Can be locked into a set direction when you shift and right click while using it, making you unable to adjust the orientation or zoom unless unlocked.

    • The Locking mechanic provides the ability to see a specific area with the telescope without having to look around.

So how would this be any different from the normal telescope? Why would players want to obtain the telescope as not only a one time crafted item, but rather one where it would be all around a Minecraft world? That's where the creativity comes in. You could have a high cliffside lookout gazing upon your nation, and maybe want to see across to the other mountain at that small map. Put your telescope on a stand and angle it toward the map, so that you won't ever have to go through your bundles just to find another telescope.

    I would love a stand for the telescope, too. I would decorate an observatory room using the telescope and stand with an open ceiling for stargazing.
    I love the idea of a new type of stand that other objects could be mounted. It could be used creatively for making lamps and other decor.
    I believe it could be crafted with some sticks and a bar of iron for the movable head attachment.
