Dogs

More breeds of dogs and maybe adding stray dogs that spawn in villages

    this is an amazing Idea but you should be able to get different dog skins like cats have. (husky labs germans ect.)

    There are so many comments so I don't know if someone has said this already but I had an idea which would bring a huge purpose for dogs. 

    Basically, if you are within 30 blocks of a buried treasure, you can tap on your dog with the treasure map and it will sniff out the treasure chest. When it has found the chest it will bark above where it is. However, this will not work if the chest is underwater and will only work if the chest is buried in sand or dirt. 

    I don't know where dogs would spawn, I thought about outposts and mansions briefly but that would make dogs seem evil. Maybe they can just spawn in certain biomes like wolves.

    Anyway, I think dogs would be perfect for 1.20!

    I think they should add spaniels and other breeds of dog, or add back the coloured wolf glich because I was so happy about my dogs, I had a black and an Orange to represent both my dogs, please add one of these

    i think dogs should be able to be bred and crossbred they should fetch items from mobs you kill and can bury bones in the ground. They would also be able to dig up bones. there is already a cat so why not a dog?!

    I would suggest different breeds of dogs adapted to different biomes, such as in a snowy biome or a high altitude their fur would appear shaggier and thicker?

    NO PET STORE. Dogs (all pets) should be rescued. 

    Taming with bones should be kept. Bones would make wolves trusting, but not tamed. 

    Dog breeds should include GREYHOUNDS!!! Really, there should be more like a representative of each general type, rather than breeds, since dogs have SO MANY breeds. See my next comment for ideas.

    Tamed dogs could have a LOT more added.

    Dog armor.

    Dog backpacks, that maybe only carry certain things that are arguably dog-related: meats of all kinds (including rotten flesh, which some of us already call dog food), leads, fence posts and gates (for x-pen/crate setup), bones (of course), sticks, water buckets (maybe empty buckets too), bowls, maybe dyes (for dying collars), shovels (for pooper scooping), balls (ender pearls, snow balls, slime balls, clay balls), carpets (dog mat), etc. 

    Dog update could include new recipe for dog treats that are shaped like "milk bone" dog biscuits, maybe made from any kind of meat (including rotten flesh) plus wheat and eggs, and are the most effective food for dogs when they need healing, or can be used to breed. 

    Dogs could use totem of undying if it's in their backpack.

    Dogs could be trainable to retrieve things for you (dropped items or from chests), to go to mat (carpets or beds), other things besides the current "sit or follow". Different breeds could come with different skills already known.

    I agree with this idea. For many years wolves were “players best friend” and I think it’s time to introduce a new furry friend. Also there are cat breeds so why not add dog breeds?
