Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Eating a Glowberry

One of the least talked about feature from the 1.17 announcement showcase is the glowberry. It is a light emitting berry tht grow on some sort of vine in the overgrown caves normally.
Now, I want to suggest eating it would ether give you night vission, for a bit or possibly being poinsoned by it.
First the night vission mostly so the berries can be used when caving, and give a reason to carry them with you down there beside if you want to build with them in an over grown area or a garden of sorts. 
Second the poison is due to teh fact they are glowing, and the most normal thing that glow in RL are glowsticks. And if you ever accidently swallowed the chemicals from a glow stick you would need to go to a hospital, so getting poisoned from it can be a good susbitute for it

    What if when you ate it, it made you glow, and emit a light level of 8? Like a torch.
