If there are copper tools, they should turn blue the more you use them

If Mojang adds copper tools, they should turn more blue the more the durability goes down.

    This is cool in theory, but the blue copper tools might be confused with diamond tools even if the shade of blue is different. Neat idea though!

    They could rust over time like the blocks do and turn green.

    they should also cause a status effect called tetanus which would have the D.O.T effect

    Maybe you can wax them to preserve there weathered state
