With the advent of honey bottles being a drinkable source of food, it has me and certainly other members of the Minecraft community thinking "What else can we drink in Minecraft?" and to that I have a simple answer answer: Juice
- Juice in Minecraft would be crafted with sugar, a water bottle, and a food in Minecraft that can be made into a juice (Examples include but are not limited to: Apples, Melons, Sweet Berries, Carrots, Chorus Fruit, and Beets)
- Juice would be stackable up to a count of 16, much like the honey bottles.
- New foods added could also have a juice as well (I.e. Glowberries, Mangoes, and the like)
- This part is optional, but certain juices could have certain limited potion effects attached (i.e. Carrot Juice gives you night vision for 15 seconds, Sweet Berry Juice gives you speed 10 seconds, and so on) The philosophy behind it is that juice could serve as a cheaper, less powerful, alternative to brewing that's more focused on filling hunger than granting effects.
Juice would definitely be a significant change to the Minecraft meta, potion effects or not. Nevertheless, I think it is a positive change that opens up a new type of mechanic to play the game.
