Will we need a smithing table to make enderite gear?

Netherite gear + enderite ingot = enderite gear?

If I wanted to, I could make a addon called the "End & Enderite" like a custom update! But sadly i'm using data packs and resource packs because I want to keep the latest safety features and the latest snapshot.

The experimental worldgen features also don't work for me.

Maybe another use for Enderite would be Enderite Elytras are long overdue for an update.

i think enderite is a bit of a bland name. the overworld has all these cool ores with cool names, and other dimensions just have their name with an "ite" at the end (pun intended)? i say we call it enderslate, or endersteel

I hope this happens soon, and that it is not a simple copy of what they did with the Nether but with slight differences.

An end "villager" that trades a map with the ubication of an End Ship would be great. It would make searching for one not super tedious and boring since, at least right now, there is literally nothing else to do in The End other than go find a ship and collect shulkers.

I disagree that "enderite" should simply be a set of tools and armor that's better than netherite. I think an End Update/ End Drop should add things unique to The End rather than recycling what it already has or copying what the Nether Update did.

If the End were to ever receive a major change, I think it should take inspiration from things like Shulkers and Chorus Plants. These things are currently unique to The End and do not follow the trend of naming everything in The End using the "ender" or "end" prefix, which I appreciate about them.

A version of The End I would like to see that attempts to maintain its current aesthetic is a vast type of "space desert", which is mostly a lifeless desert with very rare oases scattered throughout it. Islands should also exist at various heights to make the place more interesting to look at and fly through with an elytra. Each desert biome would be barren, but still compose of more than just two blocks (endstone and chorus), and more than just one mob. Colors other than purple could also exist in some biomes, like the green that makes up the End Portal, or the blue on warped forests.

If The End were to have any sort of "lush" oases, I think they should be very small and uncommon but have far more to see compared to the majority of the desert-like landscape. The flora could resemble coral or giant flowers, since Chorus Plants are kind of both in a way. Fauna could also have a lot of variety in a biome like this.
