The Lurker

In the 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update previews, I noticed something. All of the Cave Biomes seemed lacking in life aside from the Deep dark, which is strange to me. So I propose adding this mob idea to Minecraft to liven them up a bit.
Appearance
The Lurker is a large monster, about 3 blocks tall, 4 blocks long and 3 blocks wide. The Lurker has long arms with membranes attached, presumably used by its ancestors for gliding. The Lurker is usually brown in colour but can camouflage to match its surroundings. The Lurker is completely blind and uses sound to hunt. The Lurker is very fragile, with only 5 hearts (10 HP).
Behavior
The Lurker is hostile and extremely fast. When encountering a player it will wait until it is not observed and attack sneakily, dealing about 3-5 hearts of damage (6-10 HP). The Lurker will then retreat until the player becomes unaware once more.
Drops
When killed, the Lurker drops a new armour material- Lurker hide. When attached to Leather Armour using the Smithing Table, it will give an extra three defense points to each armour part and extra durability. It will also make your steps not make any sound, so you will be able to travel through the Deep Dark without being bothered by the Warden.

    Interesting, but I feel it's too easy, with it having very low health and it's large size making it too easy to spot and kill, even if it is hostile. I feel it would need to be much smaller, about the size of a ravager at most. and have just as much health. I don't care much about the sound proof armor being lether, but how would it work? Would each piece prevent certain sounds from occurring, would it just be a one and done thing where just one peice of sound-proof armor nulls all sound, or, and I think this would be the best option, each piece of armor has a chance of nulling sound made, and having full sound-proof armor would not make you completely soundproof, but rather, like armor with damage, null only up to 80% of sounds.

    This is amazing half shark half croc. There should be 2 variants one with a short backfine and one with a long one. Short could be in the new swamp. And the long one could spawn in the deep ocean biome.
