Imagine this. The new copper ore can be crafted into ingots or blocks. You place a block of Netherite next to a block of Copper and you get a big explosion. It appears that the two interact quite violently!
But now you find in your crafting recipes that if you combine some Netherite ingots with some obsidion and copper, you can build a netherite canon. This device harnesses the violent interaction of copper and netherite.
You can fire it very fast, but the copper projectiles are slow and follow an arc like an arrow, but slower. They do the same damage as arrows if they hit. The explosive firing also causes a little knockback with each shot. And each shot consumes a copper ingot. Also, if you fire to fast it heats up and reduces it's life more quickly.
You can enchant with mending and unbreaking as well as some other enhancements like less knockback, more power etc.
Perhaps you can also mount it and fire it with redstone! Its knockback would then have it firing in an arc.
I really think we need a high speed low power weapon with enchant options to make it more powerful.
