Minecraft is a game all about the freedom to do what you want as you wish in the vast open sandbox world so seemingly infinite. As there are many issues to come with each update, some problems create a new branch of possibilities. Among the issues, specifically, is the fishing farm pre-1.16 patch. I want to propose this nerf be lifted as it has no actual effect on anyone but their creativity and freedom. Something like the fish farm, with its design and usage, should be entirely up to the player. Any other person should not decide for the rest. If someone thinks it is unbalanced, then maybe they should discontinue using such a farm. If said person plays on a server, then they should suggest the server get a plugin for this farm or any others like it in the future. Community servers could easily create their plugins to limit or prevent the use of pre1.16 fish farms. It all comes down to the solo players. In a solo world file, it should be the decision of the user to use fish farms at their own risk. As seen in the past, players will eventually find ways around some opposed fixes until the issue in mind is completely removed or becomes one among the disliked features. Not everyone likes to sit patiently, fishing for hours to gamble for some decent return for their efforts. All this patch does is turn unique, compact designs into giant, messy, ugly designs, as can be seen recently uploaded to YouTube channels. Could we possibly keep pre1.16 AFK fish farms available?
