Archeology shards should be added to murals, foors and ceilings

With the new Caves and cliffs update announced i loved the archeology system, especially the customizable pots. However i think that we can expand this idea to do so much more. What if along with customizable pots, we had customizable blocks that could hold the shard pieces as well. Imagine having a mural in your basement of the shards or having a floor or ceiling made outof them. In a way its like customizable paintings. With the pot you cant have this because of its shape so I would love to see this added to give the shard pieces so much more depth.

    That is a great idea! I bet there is a way to do both things at once. Like if the pot was directional you could lay them on their side and just see the side with the shards.

    Awesome idea! Going further would be columns and pillars of old temples that you can excavate and use in your own buildings. This would go hand in hand with the existing auto-generated temples and structures in Minecraft.
