The Acidic Hollows

The Acidic Hollows is a new biome concept for the new 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update. It would be a cave system deep in the caves with acidic water replacing regular water, it would have the new glow squids as well as redesigned and more tanky mobs spawning inside the water. The acidic water would slowly deal half a heart of damage over time regardless of armor. In this biome there could be vines, new types of plants that you could harvest with maybe a new food item called the nuclear berry which would cause a random status effect for a few seconds and restore 1 bar of hunger. To summarize it quickly

The Acidic Hollows would contains...

  • the new glow squid
  • beefed up mobs (radioactive mobs)
  • new crops and plants
  • 1 new food item (nuclear berry)
  • acidic water rather than regular water

    What if the hollows spawns near the deep dark where the Skulk growth lives, and the glow squid is really just a skulk corrupted version of normal squid but super deep down?

    I also like the idea that around the edges of the pool would be glowink- a new liquid light that isn't harmful yet can light up the dark similar (or less powerfully) to lava. Minecraft kinda is lacking when it comes to a liquid light source that is safer (I know drowning is still a problem) in comparison to lava.
