Flooded jungle

Imagine reaching the edge of the jungle, and you come across a thick swamp filled with massive jungle trees growing in the shallow water and vines hanging to water level. you won't get through those vines with your boat, so you jump across fallen logs in the water to keep your distance from the murky water. who knows animal could be waiting down there to eat you? across this vast swampland is scattered hills above water level. perhaps you'll make your home atop one of them, or hanging from the large branches and vines bridging between trees? as long as you don't mind the colony of witches as neighbors.

    I like this idea if it could be incorporated with larger than normal jungle trees as well to simulate excess water that would be cool.
