Goat Pelt Jacket / Cold Damage

The Goat Pelt Jacket is obtainable by crafting a leather chestplate and 'Goat Pelt' together. It would protect you from cold damage, and a 'blinding' effect found in blizzards up high. Cold works almost identically to drowning, in the sense that you start to die if you stay in it too long. Cold damage is slow at first, but speeds up depending on the height you are at or whether there is snow or a blizzard. The Goat Pelt Jacket would make freezing slow down immensely and would make players choose between elytra or cold protection, until (At this point this will only be added if the Iceologer is voted in) a Weather Charm comes along - Crafted with Enchanted Snowballs dropped by the Iceologer, which can be thrown and deal a small amount of extra damage. You would need 4 enchanted snowballs, a goat pelt, 3 emeralds and a totem of undying to craft it. It would go in your offhand and provide immunity to cold, unless damaged by the cloud of the Iceologer.

  I think you would just craft this by making a chestplate out of goat pelts, and it would go in your chest slot(Like elytra). Overall, I think this would be a great addition to Minecraft, especially if you could dye them.

  I would like temperatures affects to be in hard mode. When in a cold biome a blue overlay could slowly grow over the players health bar until its full, then it would start going back down and taking the players health with it. This would make heat like torches, campfires, etc more important and would be a fun challenge to survive in.
